REDUCE OPERATING COSTS. INCREASE PROCESS RELIABILITY. Smart Air Injection is the efficient solution for energy-efficient delivery of media with a variable moisture content of 60 % to 85 %. This reduces the operating costs for compressed air by more than 10,000 Euro/year. Conveying distances of up to 1000 meters are possible without problems. The spent grains are first compressed into long plugs in the eccentric screw pump, which are then pneumatically conveyed onward by extremely short compressed air pulses of a few seconds. The plug formation, however, takes several minutes. This means that only very little compressed air is required for conveying. This reduces compressed air and energy consumption by up to 80 %. In addition, shorter spent grains intervals reduce brew throughput times. This significantly increases the efficiency of the entire brewing process.
