About us

As a specialized plant manufacturer, BDI sets technological standards in the refining of residual and waste materials, exemplified by the unique BDI BioGas technology. Tailored especially for breweries, this technology enables biogas to be produced using spent grain and surplus yeast as a substrate, generating green electricity and heat which can cover the entire energy demands of the brewery.

Since 1996, BDI-BioEnergy International has been developing resource-saving technologies for upgrading industrial residual and waste streams. BDI designs projects of all sizes and builds plants to produce the purest biofuels and valuable by-products.

True to its motto “develop.design.build”, the company guides its customers along every stage of the project, from technology research and development through plant engineering and construction, commissioning and comprehensive customer service upon completion. More than 70 projects all over the world prove BDI’s expertise as meaningful references, while the company’s innovative strength is evidenced by more than 320 patents.
