KATZ is located in the middle of the Black Forest and was established in 1716. The first automated production line for coasters was built in 1903. We are the world-market leader for coasters and are proud to service our customers around the globe for more than 100 years. Since 2009, KATZ is part of the Koehler Group, a family owned company in 8th generation that produces specialty paper.
KATZ Coasters: High Impact Brand Awareness – directly at the point of purchase
With a wide variety of customized shapes, designs and finishing options, the coaster is a very affective and valuable marketing tool ensuring our 470 customers in 80 countries create strong brand awareness all over the world.
Coasters are effective directly at the Point of Purchase, where consumers are able to engage with brands as they relax with friends and enjoy drinks. Coasters provide the ideal Interaction and engagement of brands with the consumer over an extended period whilst also been an important sustainable and functional part of the brand’s POS portfolio.
Coasters Made From Wood Pulp: Quality and Sustainability go Hand-in-Hand
We use only locally sourced certified wood from accredited sources for manufacturing our coasters. This is considered as waste-wood, a bi product as a result of forest maintenance and the primary use of the wood such as building material. Thanks to our closed water cycle, we save 2 billion liters of water per year compared to paper and board mills not using closed water cycle technology. We generate up to 42% of the energy used in our manufacturing process’s using our water turbine generators, combined with our heat recovery system. This amounts to 1,620 households annual energy consumption. read more
