DK-DOX® 2-Komponenten-System: chlorine dioxide - With a system for successful disinfection

Chlorine dioxide has been considered an effective disinfectant in the brewing and beverage industry for decades. However, it is only thanks to the production by Dr. Küke GmbH of a material friendly chlorine dioxide in the peroxodisulphate chlorite process that we can forget about the negative properties of conventionally produced chlorine dioxide.

DK-DOX® chlorine dioxide is being used more and more because of its numerous positive properties. It is the product of choice when it comes to complete disinfection along the entire process chain.

High effectiveness – minimal corrosion:

Comparisons with a chlorine dioxide solution produced in the hydrochloric acid-chlorite process, which is still the case in many places, revealed that DK-DOX® chlorine dioxide is 40 – 2,500 times less corrosive, depending on the concentration.

The DK-DOX® 2-Komponenten-System is a 0.3% aqueous chlorine dioxide solution produced by manually mixing DK-DOX® liquid component 1 with DK-DOX® solid component 2 without the use of plant technology. The DK-DOX® process produces a chlorine-0.1-free, material friendly chlorine dioxide solution that is characterized by particularly high stability and can be used among others for the following areas:

• disinfection of drinking water according to DVGW Arbeitsblatt W 224, TrinkwV, ÖNORM 5879-3, Codexkapitel B1 Trinkwasser, DIN EN 12671

• eliminates pediococci, lactobacilli and yeasts

• disinfection of bottle and barrel washing

• disinfection in CIP process, pasteurisers, cooling tower

• disinfection of tank and dispensing systems, compressed air lines etc.

Product properties:

• DK-DOX® 2-Komponenten-System has strong bactericidal, sporicidal, viricidal and algicidal effects

• germ adaptations are not possible due to its non-specific mode of action

• effective removal of biofilms

• high stability of the solution

DK-DOX® 2-Komponenten-System has a non-chlorinating effect. Since it is chlorine-0.1-free, in contrast to conventional chlorine dioxide products, no membrane damage or taste impairments due to chlorophenol or chloramine formation are to be expected.
