PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Since the 1970s, SCHULZ has been involved in the automation of brewery plants. From the switch control system and the crossbar distributor, to the introduction of the world's first brew house automation system based on a microprocessor in the 1980s, the Peter Bischof company, as a permanent partner of Kaspar Schulz, was a cutting-edge pioneer. For the first time, it was possible to enable complex control tasks to interweave with a structure called ‘step sequence’ in a brew house. Nowadays, all this is taken for granted. Topics, such as batch tracing, maintenance management and cloud-integration are often discussed, but are not always implemented in medium-sized companies. SCHULZ took this as an opportunity to meet these challenges with its own system. The focus here is on the conversion of the numerous Bischof systems. The support of time-honoured systems goes hand in hand with transformation of these pioneering systems into the new digital era. Advantages are: • Web-based structure, enabling operation via mobile devices • Industrial PC as a VISU computer without rotating parts • Latest generation Simatic S7-1500 control unit • Decentralised peripherals allow short wiring paths and easy expansion • Connection of the components via ProfiNet • Intelligent process control through process engineering optimisation of the recipes • Database supported, scalable system with latest web technology and communication protocols to meet the standard Industry 4.0 • Alarm management with product-oriented documentation for optimum support in the case of malfunctions • Simple recipe creation via web browser in Excel style • Customer-specific hierarchical access management • Article and goods receipt management for resource balancing and batch tracing • Maintenance management with cloud connection to the central SCHULZ service
