Luhe Minerals GmbH is a company with many years of experience of the people involved in the area of precoat filtration. Founded in 2022, we distribute CELATOM® brand diatomaceous earth as the exclusive distribution partner of the leading US manufacturer EP Minerals.

CELATOM® diatomaceous earth is characterized by the highest quality and cost-effectiveness and is mined and produced in the USA in the states of Nevada and Oregon.

As a natural raw material, diatomaceous earth consists of skeletons of diatoms that were sedimented in water over 10 million years ago. It has been used with great success as a filter aid for over 65 years and is the world's most widespread and economical technology for beer filtration. When using modern system technology (candle gap filters), diatomaceous earth filtration also offers a high level of automation. The technology, which has been tried and tested for a long time and can be controlled and influenced by the brewer, impresses in comparison, e.g. to membrane filtration, with its flexibility in the event of fluctuating filterability, economical filtration costs and significantly lower specific media consumption in the filtration process (energy, water, wastewater, CO2, cleaning agents).

The product portfolio is supplemented by Britesorb® brand silica gels for protein-side beer stabilization from our partner PQ Corporation as well as perlites and celluloses from our European partners.

The focus of our work is the reliable delivery of our products as well as application technology advice in the area of filtration and stabilization.

We are also committed to recycling the resulting filter sludge and can provide you with tried-and-tested and sustainable solutions with our partner SF-Soepenberg.

Modern filling and refilling systems at the central warehouse in Germany enable needs-based and short-term deliveries from small containers to big bags to silo trucks.
