Application test: How a southern german brewery reduced energy costs by 75%

The existing  PONNDORF system, i.e.  screw conveyor  including  pneumatic lean phase conveying , was replaced  by  a SEEPEX  Smart Air Injection (SAI) system . This enables  the  pneumatic dense phase conveying, i.e. pulsed  pneumatic conveying , of long plugs of spent grain . As a  result of the much infrequent air injection the  customer  was  able to significantly  reduce  the  overall  air and power consumption
