About us
Handtmann Process Technology specializes in the handling of liquid and vapor media and is one of the world's leading suppliers of components and systems for the food & beverage industry. Starting with tank protection, safety- and vacuum valves as well as cleaning and air valve combinations are used individually or configured on tank dome caps, especially in breweries. Both safety and process components, such as the INOVA double-seat valve, are developed and produced in-house by Handtmann. Experts in process technology take care of customer-specific planning, designing, and controlling of pipe fences, valve blocks, yeast management systems, fermentation, storage and pres-sure tank cellars, CIP systems and the Handtmann named CSS beer stabilization system. Beside the world's largest breweries, smaller home breweries and, above all, the rapidly growing craft brewing scene worldwide are also equipped with Handtmann systems.
In addition to beer, milk is one of the core competencies of Handtmann Process Technology. The CIP media filtration is mainly used for lye preparation, with a focus on sustainability and resource sav-ings. The Radial Flow Chromatography (RFC) is, for example, worldwide used to harvest the anti-inflammatory protein lactoferrin for further processing in baby or sports nutrition. The adsorption is represented by its core, the radial flow columns, supplemented in the overall concept by piping, tanks, prefiltration and a CIP elution plant. One of the most important steps is piloting and commis-sioning at the customer's site, which is carried out by Handtmann technicians using the latest ana-lytical equipment.
